I met Elder Dube... Again!! Inbox x

Temple Trip!

A favorite member - who is moving :-(
Hello everyone!!

I hope you have had a great week! Ours was so good! So we had our mission tour this week and Elder Dube came! It was amazing to receive training from him! His knowledge of the scriptures was just amazing and because of his example I want to be more diligent in my scripture studies and really study and know the scriptures so I can help those I teach. I love how when we would ask a question he would answer us with a scripture. I had a pretty cool experience this week with scripture study. So people have said before how they just hunger for scripture study and I wanted that too. Then I remembered in Preach my Gospel it says that you can pray for a desire, so I prayed to be hungry for the scriptures and it happened! One night I was getting ready to go to bed and I just really couldn't wait for the morning to study the Book of Mormon! It was awesome!

So I had the opportunity to go to a training with him on Wednesday and Thursday so we stayed the night at President' s house with Elder Dube (salmon is too far to go there and back #outcasts). We were able to talk with him and I asked him if he remembered coming to our home stake like a year and a half ago and he said yes. I then asked him if he remembered when a guy in our stake stood up and was acting weird and he just went, "OHHH!!" And started laughing! It was the best! We started talking about it more and we might have been mixing things up but it was so funny! Anyways thought you guys would enjoy that!

One thing that I loved from Elder Dube's teaching was to use the scriptures more and read a chapter from the Book of Mormon and then connect it to the Bible. When we got home Thursday night we tried that in one of our lessons and it was probably one of the best lessons Sister Hulme and I have taught together! The Spirit was defiantly guiding the lesson and afterwards the member there with us very happy how everything turned out!

The tough thing that happened this week was that a few of our progressing investigators dropped us this week. That was pretty tough for us. I just kept having thoughts of you are not good enough or you didn't do enough and it was just hard. It was just one of those mornings where you just need to talk to your Heavenly Father and pray for comfort. Days like that are hard but it did help me and motivate me to work harder and that is a plus!

We had a few amazing miracles with finding new investigators this week. One of our recent converts has a little sister who has never sat down and participated in a lesson but this week she finally did! If you met her you would know how much of a miracle that was. She's a little fireball!

The second miracle was when we were teaching one of our investigators. Her husband has been pretty cold to us and when we first came over he was. He wouldn't sit in the room with us but he sat close enough to hear us. Towards the end of the lesson he finally jumped in the lesson and he started to soften and open up and we have a follow up appointment with them!

The last was we knocked on this random door and at first he did not seem to interested but we were persistent and he told us we could come back the next day. We did and during the lesson he said that two weeks ago he started praying on what he should do because he is going through a hard time and then a few months ago he checked the Book of Mormon out of library and started read it. How cool is that! We are excited to see him progress!

Well I love you all so much! I hope you guys have a great week! Always remember to share the gospel! I know that the Book of Mormon is true!

Love,
Sister Lacey
